One of Chris's favorite quotes is:"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. - Aristotle Whenever you feel like criticizing someone, just remember that all the people in this world haven't had all of the advantages you've had. - Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby Every day you live is a special day even though sometimes it might not be easy to see that or understand that, but every day is a wonderful day, because you make it wonderful. Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from those moments everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love and set your sights high. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, it will be hard for others to believe in you. You can make your life anything you wish. I hope my story is at least an example of that. Create your own life and then go out and live it with absolutely no regrets. Most important though, if you love someone, tell him or her, for you never know what tomorrow may have...Expand for more
in store. Remember, tomorrow is promised to no one. - Walter Payton #34 Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. - Mark Twain If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay at home. - James A. Michener An individual has not started living fully until they can rise above the narrow confines of individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of humanity.....Every person must decide, at some point, whether they will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness. This is the judgment. Life's most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others? - Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. The brave don't live forever, but the cautious don't live at all. - Timothy Luce God forbid you ever had to walk a mile in his shoes 'Cause then you really might know what it's like to sing the blues Then you really might know what it's like - Everlast Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear. - Ambrose Redmoon If none of us ever read a book that was "dangerous," had a friend who was "different," or joined an organization that advocated "change," we would all be just the kind of people Joe McCarthy wants. Whose fault is that? Not really his. He didn't create this situation of fear. He merely exploited it, and rather successfully. No one can terrorize a whole nation, unless we are all his accomplices. - Edward R. Murrow".
