Chris's Story
After being bused from Crossland, I graduated from Potomac High School in 1974. I attended the University of Maryland, College Park, and achieved a BS in Management Studies. I worked for the Federal Government for 38 years. I started at the Securities & Exchange Commission, transitioned to the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Center in 1986, and finished my career with the Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, MD.
I'm married to Andy Cummings, who heads up the Controls Division of Southland Industries' Sterling office. We live in Calvert County, MD, and have three sons, Andrew, David and Daniel. David lives and works as a welder in York, PA. Andrew and Daniel live in N...Expand for more
orth Beach, MD and work in P.G. County. Andrew is a police officer (arson investigation unit), and Daniel is a certified mechanic who repairs county police and rescue vehicles. No grandchildren yet.
I retired as a civilian from the Naval Air Systems Command in January 2013. I'm pursuing several interests and hobbies, including volunteering, bicycling, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. I've done Jazzercise for nearly 30 years, and hope to continue it as long as I'm physically able.
Some of my favorite books include Family Ties (written by my son, David), Vince Flynn Novels, Sue Grafton Novels, WWII historical fiction novels, and anything my book club likes to read.
