Christi's Story
Life
I was born in Sylacauga, Alabama in 1970. I moved to Taylors, SC in 1978. After one year in Taylors, I moved to Greer, SC in the 4th grade. I stayed until 10th grade. Summer after tenth grade, I moved to Vincent, AL until 2 weeks into my 11th grade year. Our house didn't sell so we moved back to Greer, SC. Then my parents sold the house and we moved to Loachapoka, AL a couple weeks before ny Senior year. Actually I went to school in Notasulga. After 2 months there we moved to Oxford, AL where I ended up graduating from in 1988. My senior year was the hardest because I really missed Greer but I adjusted pretty well to the other schools. I went to Jacksonville State University for one year and found out that a 4 year college wasn't for me at that time.
I went to Ayers State and got my Accounting diploma ( Associates Degree). I went back to JSU when Lauren was 2 years old. It was hard working full-time, taking care of the house and trying to study with a small child who wanted and needed attention. I realized God and my family was my priority at that time and still is.
I received an Accounting diploma from Aye...Expand for more
rs State Technical College in 1990. I met Phil in 1992 and we were soon married. We have three daughters: Lauren is 14 , Alyssa is 9 and Carlyn is 7. I work part-time at a trucking company. I also do the bookkeeping for Phil's home building business. We live in Oxford, Alabama and are active members of Munford Baptist Church.
I'm a lot more out spoken than I was in high school. I rely on God for everything!! I am a very forgiving person. There is no point in harboring bad feelings toward people because the only person it hurts is yourself. It took me awhile to learn that.
Some times I wish I had not left Greer right before my Senior year because I had been with most everyone since 4th grade but then I wouldn't have met Phil and had three beautiful girls. God took me down the path he wanted me to go. The things I miss most in Greer are my closest friends that I stay in contact with.
If I had to do things over again, I would have studied harder and made better grades. I wouldn't have cared what others thought of me because God made me who I am. No matter what God will always love me!!
I guess that's it for now.
