Christie's Story
Where to begin?
My life has not been defined by my high school or college years. Life for me took off when I began my first career in retail merchandising which started with Bullock's in Los Angles in 1971 and ended with Lord & Taylor in New York City in 1990.
Challanging and fast paced work that allowed me to travel and see the world.
Then I met a cowboy, departed NYC moved west, learned to train horses and attempted to settle into the country life.
The clash of cultures took a toll on our marriage and we divorced in 1997 but my love of the mountains and horses is still in tact.
After retail I turned to real estate and pursued the managing, marketing side of the business. Real estate has been good to me up until last year!
In 2007 I spent the spring in Glendora as my father was in a state of decline due to a fall and hip surgery. Dad lost his battle and died...Expand for more
in March. Some of you may remember Coach Anderson from Citrus College.
Mom is recovering from her loss and doing well at 85. Dee loves Glendora and will never leave so I visit more now.
Spending time in Glendora has been fun, walking on paved streets and minutes from anything you desire is a departure from my current lifestyle.
However, I am always happy to return to New Mexico...big azure sky, mountain scape to the north...desert to the south.
I have lived from coast to coast, from city to country and am a true blend of all I have experienced.
Independent, passionate, a bit adventurous and romantic describes who I am today. Lover of animals..own 2 saddle horses and a burro, trail dogs and cats.
As they say..."You've come along way baby" Especially from the insecure, goofy high school girl any of you may recall.
