Christin's Story
After I graduated from Agoura I lived in Westwood then Laurel Canyon for a while. I worked as the Ass't Director of McCaffery Galleries on La Cienega Blvd in West Hollywood. After that I moved up to Santa Rosa in Sonoma County and studied art and acting at Santa Rosa JC. Finally I moved to NYC and studied fine art at The Art Students League and The School of Visual Arts, where I received my MFA.
I stayed in NYC and got work immediately at LSC&P Studios doing graphic design. I designed album covers, book jackets, print ads, posters, etc. It didn't pay junior designers all that well and I moved on. I got a job managing a band. I had always had friends who were musicians (many of them quite famous) and I was very interested in music and the backstage aspect of it,
so it was sort of a trial by fire. At that time the only other woman managing or road managing a band (that I knew of) was Susan Blonde with The Rolling Stones. ng some pretty good bands and having a good (if exhausting) time doing it. I got to see everyone and hear everything and went out all the time and it was great. Then I took a few years off. When I'd recovered I decided to become a union stagehand. I had friends who helped me get work and get into the union and I did that for many years up until 2010. Since then I've been writing, gardening, painting, and as of last September (2017) I have started managing a great musician/singer/songwriter in Nashville. His name is Scott MacPherson. You'll be hearing from him. So in my life things seem to come around again. I am still close to most of the friends I was close to in high school and to the friends I met in my 20's and 30's. For some reason those years were the time when most of my friendships were formed. There have been several since, and I count myself very lucky for each of them. Very interesting.
My husband and I live in a private community right on the Hudson, across the river from NYC just south of the George Washington Bridge in NJ. We are selling our house and moving to Ocala, FL.
