Christina's Story

Amazing how your perspective changes from High School to present day. I was pretty much shy and quiet. Now.. I'm proud to say rarely do I not give someone crap about something! LOL I love joking, talking and just making new friends. I have two kids... a 6 year old daughter and an 11 year old son. I started pretty late having kids.. not by my choice... by God's choice. They and my husband are my world! I spoil them but I also do LOTS of things with them. Neat stuff... they think I'm the best mom in the world. My friends who had kids younger than I are jealous that I spend so much time with my kids and have such patience with them... when they were younger they didn't do those things. I LOVE making special memories for my kids AND my husband. I'm very sentimental... love scrapbooking, making my own greeting cards and have LOTS of journals. I still send "surprise" letters, cards, etc. to my husband AND kids.... just because. My biggest weakness is I rarely tell anyone "no". I will help when I can and I tend to want to do things MY way rather than let someone help me. I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I helped my father start his own business 20 years ago and I have worked for him since. Hoping to retire this year at the OLD age of 48! HA HA After school I moved to Dallas, TX and lived there for six years... I LOVED it!!! I made some very good friends there and still go visit them when I can. Though I didn't have kids then and I realize now I'd never want to raise a kid there. This is a GREAT place to raise kids. My husband was in the Navy when we met and has since retired from the Navy after serving our country for 20 years. He is the most awesome man...Expand for more
I've ever met. He's a very good dad and he spoils us ALL!!! I don't go to class reunions because I went to the first one after 5 years and honestly, I don't remember anyone much. Those I'm still close to or hung closely with are the only ones I remember. Sad to say but I'm sooooo bad with names and faces. Though I admit, I've run into people who recognized me and say I haven't changed... hmmmm... I guess that should be a good thing in that "maybeeeee" I don't look so old??? HA HA My favorite saying - "Life is not about the breaths you take... but the moments that take your breath away." I've learned since High School that you need to live EVERY day to the fullest. You never know when God will want to call you home. I try very hard to leave everyone on a positive note when I say good bye. Life is very precious to me and I miss those that have already gone so very much but still keep them in my thoughts and prayers. I have a wonderful and happy life. I love my kids and husband with all my heart. There isn't one thing in my life I'd change because it got me to where I am today. I have great respect for older people and I LOVE talking to them. I also feel you should respect everyone. You don't know anyone's situation until you know them personally. I don't like making fun of people... laughing at them... or vindictive people. (Minus, of course those I love... Ha Ha... but then it's only in joking.) I try very hard to be nice, fair and equal daily. If there was one thing I could tell old friends and classmates it would be.... make good memories, live like it's your last day, enjoy everything life has to offer you because you may never pass this way again.
