Christina's Story
I have been in the health insurance business since the early 90's. I got tired of that and decided to go into the medical field back in 2004. I went to work for a private surgical practice in Roseville. I worked there for 4 years but ended up very disappointed how that all worked out. I have a new outlook on the medical profession and I have learned that the all mighty dollar is what motivates a private practice, not patient care, at least at this one particular office. I did enjoy my time there; I learned a lot and wish it could have turned out different. I ended up taking some time off and I am now back in the insurance doing Health and Life business. I have lived and raised my boys in Roseville since 1992 and love it here. I have 3 boys 26, 20 and the youngest is 18. I have raised them by myself with no help from my X what so ever. I own my own home and I am very proud of how my boys and I have all grown up. I am also a grandma of 2 as of January 10 2009. Anyone who remembers me will know who I married (then divorced). He was on the Varsity soccer team at Valley High, graduated in 1982 and drove a brown Buick. Life so far has been one hell of a ride and I look forward to what is ahead of me for years and years to come. Life only gets better the older and wiser you get.
Now I am looking forward to bigger and better things. My youngest is the first in Ca to be accepted in NASCAR school in Charlotte North Carolina. He will start Sept 14th 2009. Very exciting...Expand for more
, in 2 years he will be on one of the top NASCAR teams. Not a driver but a designer/engineer. Totally cool stuff. No one from the west coast has ever been excepted so my son is the first! Enough bragging. Can't help it, I am proud of my boys especially since I raised them all by myself. No help from their dad. My family and I are taking a risk and get into real estate. Even though times are tough there is great opportunity out there. With the kids grown its time for me to just do what I want. I am ready to take on any adventure that floats my boat. I have worked hard, been a full time single Mom and now its time for me to take some risk and have fun. I don't feel my age, I actually feel younger than ever. All I can say to all the others out there is let go of the past, take a chance and when ever you fall down brush yourself off and start in a new direction. Life is to short to dwell on the crap from the past or try to figure out why people do what they do. You will never get that answer. Time to live life; we are all at the age that we can let go and really live life to the fullest. That can mean staying home and making cookies for the grandkids or going out and party like a Rock Star. We have put in the time and paid our dues. If you can't do that I suggest serious therapy. "Live life today so that if you were to leave tomorrow you won't regret anything you said or did yesterday. Once you're gone you can't take it back and that is how you will be remembered."
