Christina's Story

After hs graduation, I went to Ohio State during rather interesting times (at least what I remember of them)and pretty much spent the rest of my life in school collecting a bunch of degrees and ending up as a tenured full professor in the Philadelphia area. I met my husband in Philadelphia and we were married in 1973 (which means I've been married longer than I was single...eek)We have five kids (3 girls and 2 boys) ages 25 to 32 (...and we are done with college tuitions ...YAY!)Only our oldest daughter is married...and we have a year old grand daughter. Our daughter and her husband live in Austin Texas which is wonderful for me since I am...Expand for more
a passionate rower and I row out of Austin Rowing Club a lot during the winter (winter rowing in Phila. is really cold...we've been chopping ice off the docks to get the shells in the water since November...ugh!)...so I get to see the kids AND row in great weather at least one week a month from September through May ...doesn't get much better than that:-) Three of the kids are in DC and one in NYC. We still have a cottage right up from North Shore beach (between Grand Haven State Park and Hoffmaster) and spend a good part of the summer there. I love the east coast, but still count the days until we get back to Lake Michigan each year.
