Christine's Story
After high school I lived and worked in Chicago for awhile, until June 1970. Met my future husband who was in a band. Went with him to California and settled in North Hollywood. still be married in the church. Because of this he also told me that religious life was still possible for me. In 1997 I entered the novitiate of the Sisters of the Living Word and made final vows on Dec. 5, 1994. My daughter was my biggest supporter in this process of formation. I'm living with other sisters in Des Plaines and minister in the Assisted Living section of Addolorata Villa in Wheeling. In 1986 I made a career change and got trained as a CNA and worked in a couple of area hospitals. Eventually became a Patient Care Tech. My life has been so blessed! Even in my recent battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma the blessings continued. I'm now celebrating 6 months in remission and looking forward to meeting everyone again at our class reunion. '69-ers ROCK!
