Christine's Story
Can you believe I have been a public high school teacher in the same upstate school district for 29 YEARS--and still enjoy my profession!!
Hard to believe since I wanted to quit high school!!
Recently visited Long Beach this fall, and I miss the beauty of the City--the boardwalk, the smooth and white sand beach, and Gino's Pizza--what a change from the take out counter place of 1968!!
Single after 29 years of marriage is an adjustment--no bitterness. Now I enjoy doing what I want, when I want to do it--or not! My son is 22 and a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas in Austin majoring in nuclear engineering. He graduated from Carleton College (the "Harvard" of the Midwe...Expand for more

Since I will be retiring in about five years, I thought I might look into returning home and purchase a condominium overlooking the ocean. My only reservation is the fact that Long Island is WAY TOO CONGESTED AND PEOPLE ARE TOO IMPATIENT! But when retired--I won't be in a hurry to get any where!!!
Still enjoy listening to The Beatles, working in the garden landscaping, and talking politics. I express my artistic abilities decorating my home and landscaping. Last summer I spent two weeks in France and have redesigned my great room in a "Versaille Motif." LOTS OF FUN......
