Wow, Class of '78. So much has happened in my world since the day we walked down the aisle to get our diplomas. Seems like so long ago, but yet seems like it was just the other day. After we graduated, I went off to school in the beautiful state of Kentucky to my mother's alma mater, Murray State University, majored in Business Administration & minored in Psychology. Should probably have been the other way around, being that I was the class therapist From jr. high through high school, it seemed that I was consulted by many for their relationship problems. Anyway, I soon found out that going to classes was not my favorite thing & I began majoring in how to drink beer. Since the town I was going to school in, Murray, Kentucky, was a dry county (what, no alcohol?) we had to travel across the Tennessee/Kentucky state line to even buy beer or alcohol. There my group of girlfriends & I (there was about 8 of us that went everywhere together) learned how to successfully play drinking beer games. We had a blast! Well the fun quickly came to a halt when in the spring of my sophomore year, my father was diagnosed with lung cancer. I moved back home to be closer to him but he lost the battle on September 3, 1981. I miss him terribly now just as much as I did right after his death.
