Christine's Story
I have been living in the Storrs area for 28 years but get to Branford and New Haven often to visit family. I have two great kids with my first husband and have now been married to my high school sweetheart, Ed, for 6 years. My kids are grown and very independent. Kevin is 31 and is married to Kelly. He and his wife are both attorneys and he is a Captain in Army Jag. He was already deployed to Afghanistan and safely returned. My youngest, Katie, is 28 and is a Social Worker in the Hartford area so I have her close to home. I have been managing a lab I owned with my former spouse but sold in 2010. later and still in the field of Cytology. I love my work, in spite of the stress and changes in medicine. I have been very fortunate in life. I have great memories of St. Mary's and wow, were we cool or what back then!! Rolled up skirts, food fights in the cafe, driving the nuns crazy and forget about any male teachers who dared to take a job there! I was so sad when our school closed but went to visit it that last time and got to see Sister Margaret again. I'm still close friends with Bert (Taragowski) Gagliardi but that is about the only person I have kept in touch with. I remember many of you, though, and the fun times.
