Christine's Story
This post was created to help my adult daughter search for her biological father and any possible paternal relatives including other donor conceived adult children from this donor.
I conceived my daughter in 1987 with the help of an anonymous sperm donor from Cryogenic Laboratories, Inc. located in Roseville, MN.(#1073). Brief description of this man from the lists of 1986 and 1987: dark brown hair, blue eyes, 162 lbs, 5'11", O+, Engineer/Mech and French/German ethnicity but the spermbank didn't know which was from the maternal or paternal side. In 2006, we also learned the donor was interested in poetry/sculpting. I have good reason to believe this donor was in the donor program as early as 1980 (possibly earlier).
John Olson was the owner of CLI and also a high school biology teacher but I'm not sure what high school. He claims 3/4 of the donors were local business men. The donor was an operations mechanic and because the donor is from a large family and had 3 children of his own(at the time of his donations) I was hoping the Roseville School I've chosen might be the one to lead me to some connection. If anyone can help us in our search, please contact me. In 2008 we learned of 3 other possible female half-siblings. All 4 girls look very much like each other (in some pictures like twins), but none of the 3 is aware they are donor conceived. We have made tentative inquiries with the 3 other females and/or their families and none are interested in pursuing further so it's a little sad for my daughter though she is busy with life and doesn't dwell on it.

happy person, a very talented writer and poet, who would love to learn more about her paternal relatives to see what she shares in common. We stopped searching for now because it doesn't seem to be taking us any closer to finding any paternal relatives but will always be open to contact. Periodically, I will post new photos of her and try to update this "story" with anything new.
As for me, I've had a good life. Since graduating in 1970, some of the highlights for me were ice skating with Holiday on Ice for one year as part of the chorus, participating as a staff member with the National Spelling Bee for five years and living in Hong Kong for two years (each) on two separate occasions (1985-1987; 1993-1995) due to my husband's employment.
Those of you that know me, know that I am one of 9 children and until 2005 was fortunate to enjoy interacting with all of them, their families, and my two loving parents. My mom died in 2005; dad died in 2007. I miss them every day but they both lived well into their 80s so I know we were fortunate to have them as long as we did. June 2008, my brother, James, died suddenly at the young age of 60. No family gathering will be the same without James'humor and outrageous laugh . R.I.P. James!
Currently my husband and I are living in the greater Cincinnati area. He is retired and I am working in Mason.
As a PS, The Donor Sibling Registry (website is the same name without spaces and add a dot com) as is Amfor.net are great places to post infor and/or to look for possible half-siblings or your biological children (if you are a donor).
