Christine's Story

Life After graduation from Sarcoxie, I joined the US Navy, met my first husband, whom I had one daughter with. She is now 23 years old. About the time my enlistment was up, my first husband and I seperated. I re-enlisted into the Navy about 6 months later, and was sent to Puerto Rico. There I re-married and had two daughters. After 3 years in Puerto Rico the Navy transferred me to Alameda, CA. I spent three years there. At the end of my tour, my enlistment was also up. My second husband and I divorced, and my two girls and I moved to Missouri, where my family lives. I worked at a trucking company in the log department for about 4 years, got married again to a man who had 3 boys of his own. In 1997 I went to truck driving school and got my commercial drivers license. My husband Tink and I drive over the road together. About 6 years ago, we moved away from Missouri to Florida. We love it down here. We just bought a new home March of 2002. All of my husbands boys are all grown now, but two if them still live with us. My two girls are now 20 and 18. We have 3 parrots, CB is a Blue and Gold Macaw, KW is an Eleanoras Cockatoo, and Star is a B...Expand for more
lue Fronted Amazon. CB and Star are trucking birds, they travel all over the US with us in the truck. Tink and I think once all of our kids are grown and out on their own, we are going to move farther south (closer to Miami). 11/05-We are still driving a truck, but not a semi and trailer...we now drive a 40 foot straight truck, which is leased to FEDEX Custom Critical. We wil be going on a cruise this spring, we just haven't decided where to go yet. We are now living just north of Panama City Beach, FL. September 2006: I am now separated from my husband and off the truck. I am living in the Clear Lake, TX area. June 2007: I am now working on getting an associates degree. School Well, my senior year in high school, hmmmm. I spent the year or most of it pregnant. My main concern was just to graduate so that I could join the military. You know how hard it is to live at home and obey all those rules your mom and dad put on you ;). I was ready to move out! Military I really enjoyed all of my duty stations. I sometimes miss the Navy. Then again maybe not. Anyway, I do miss alot of the people I used to work with and for.
