Christine's Story
I was not popular but loved the opportunity to finish my last year of high school at George Wythe High School, even though I had gotten married before finishing. That year was hard being married at a time that this just wasn't done. There were so many great kids and I loved my teachers. I divorced and moved to Chicago for a while, then returned home with my little boy, Eric. Who by the way is now 44 years old now. Boy does time fly! I remarried happily for 30 years. My husband passed away suddenly almost 2 1/2 yrs ago. I miss him so much, but life seems to continue, even when we don't want it to. The Lord Jesus is my strength and I love HIM with all my heart. Life is good and each day I wake up is a really great day. God has blessed me with good health and ...Expand for more
a positive attitude, with lots of good friends and a precious daughter and granddaughter and grandson. My son remarried this past year and I got another daughter and two more granddaughters. So needless to say, I'm truly blessed.
I worked at Union Camp Corp./ International Paper Corp. for 25 yrs. as the Mfg. Mangers Secretary/HR Assistant. Loved my job but due to restructing, reorganiznation/ etc. etc. my joy was eliminated. I went on to open an Antique Business for 2 1/2 yrs. up in Cumberland, VA. until at such time our daughter was very ill and required us to sell our business and home and return to the tri cities area to be close to her.
There's not much else to tell other than, I love people and hope you are blessed as much as I am. Blessings to you all.
