Christine's Story
After graduation I worked briefly for National City Bank, where I met my husband Len Potoczak. Len and I married in 1970 and had two children, a daughter born in 1972 and a son born in 1976. My most favorite carreer for many years was wife and mother. I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to be home for my family.
On my 35th birthday, I applied for admission to Notre Dame College and began my college career as a non-traditional student. 10 years, 3 motnhs and 27 days later I graduated with a BS in Accounting. What an amazing experience.
I am currently employeed as a manager in the finance department of a large Corporation. My ...Expand for more
children are grown and have wonderful families of their own. Both my daughter and daughter-in-law are college educated but have chosen to focus on raising their children, so they too have postponed careers outside their home in favor of motherhood. How lucky they are to have that opportunity in this day and age.
My husband of 38 years passed away suddently and unexpectedly last November. He was an extraordinary individual who's life was lived to the fullest. Len was bright, very handsome and had a wry sence of humor. He loved God, his family and his beloved Golden Retrievers. He will be dearly missed, certainly for the rest of my life.
