Christine's Story
Life: where I've been, things I've done, who I am now:
During and following graduation from college I worked in various restaurants, inns and hotels in Boston, Providence and Marthas Vineyard before turning to college teaching in 1999. I taught culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island for ten years, then relocated to Denver Colorado with my husband and daughter in 1999. Over a nine year period I worked as an opening team member, professor and department chairperson for the newest Johnson & Wales University campus. In early 2000s we also added to our family when our son was born.
During my years in Colorado I finished my doctorate degree in education from BU in curriculum and teaching and in 2001 I developed two teacher education programs, got them approved by the state of Colorado, and led them for 5 years, teaching in the programs as I prepared students to become teachers in high schools.

ommute to Providence daily for work at Johnson & Wales University where I am a professor in the School of Arts & Sciences. We loved living in Colorado, but being closer to friends and family helps to make up for it!
I work hard at being positive and trying to get the most out of life. Each day I try to count my blessings: celebrating my health, a great husband who's also my best friend (we met as students in college and married in 1992), two great kids who keep me running like a mad woman, and a fulfilling full-time job. I love being with my students; they energize me, challenge me, and keep me young. I still love playing sports at the gym and outdoors, gardening, and traveling. The favorite part of my day is that which I spend with my family. My faith is an important part of who I am and becomes increasingly iimportant--and relevant as I experience the surprises of life daily.
While I don't always have time to keep in touch as much as I'd like, I treasure my friends and family members. Please drop me a note and keep in touch.
