Life On January 31st 2014 I retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 30 years of service to my community. Since then we purchased a "new" home (built in 1979) and have been painting and updating. Thank goodness for the free time afforded by being retired! During the year between September 2013 and 2014 we were renting in the town of Battlefield which is located near Wilson's Creek National Battlefield (Civil War). In early 2011 we moved in with my Mom and sister, Ann, to help care for Mom. Sadly cancer took Mom in December 2013 (Dad died in November 2009). For the 15 years prior to moving in with Mom and Ann, we lived in a small town (Brighton) north of Springfield, Missouri. We had 20 acres of woods and wild critters. Bob and I were married in 1974 and moved to Missouri in 1979.
