Christine's Story
Hi Classmates--It has been a long, long time. Since I left Crete-Monee High School, I attending Southern Illinois University for 1 year, Prairie State College for 1 year, Moser Secretarial School for 6 months, started working as a secretary for Standard Oil of Indiana, got married to Paul Horn, decided to return to university at Southern with my husband, finished my Bachelors degree in English, divorced Paul, completed my Master's of Science in Education, moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (my birthplace), moved to northwestern Alberta (Grande Prairie Regional College) to start teaching Business Communications, had my son Ryan, stayed there for 10 years, returned to Winnipeg to work as a ...Expand for more
Curriculum Coordinator for a competency-based technical school/college, then started work at the province in the Apprenticeship Department as a Director, finally finished my working career as Education Director for the Hydro-Northern Training Initiative. I've retired to Ste Anne, a small community outside of Winnipeg. Split my time between my mother in Winnipeg and our cottage in Ontario. I am truly blessed to have grown up in Park Forest Illinois and graduated from C-M. My life is now in Canada and forever will be. My partner, Ralph, and I are happy with our two dogs, Miki and Lady. Even though time and space has separated us, I still remember my school friends and activities fondly.
