Christopher's Story
After GHS I went to the U of F and studied architecture, then to Harvard for a Masters in Architecture; on to MIT for a Masters in City Planning and after a Fulbright in India (1968-9) I came back to Harvard's Graduate School of Design where I became a tenured Assistant Professor (1969-1971) and then left to India where I founded the School of Planning at Ahmedabad, which is now part of the CEPT University, where I serve on the Board of Governors.

written a book called LETTERS TO A YOUNG ARCHITECT which was on India's Top Ten Best Sellers Non-Fiction for 18 weeks, and has been translated into Chinese, Bengali and Gujarati. My well known campus designs include the Mahindra United World College of India, the Supreme Court of Bhutan, Suzlon One Earth, the Centre for Development Studies and Activities and the Indian Institute of Management at Kolkata; and many more. A book on my work called CHRISTOPHER BENNINGER Architecture for Modern India, has been published by Skira in Milan and will be distributed in the United States by Rizzoli USA.
