Christopher's Story
College:
I graduated in 1983 with my B.A. in Psychology/Education, with NYS Teacher Certificate for 7-12 Social Studies. The following year, I received a M.S. in Human Development/Counseling in 1984.
Work:
I began working as a Substitute Teacher in 1984 - 1985 (at Hicksville High, Rocky Point Jr-Sr High, and Longwood Schools); A Camera Store Manager; and an IRS Tax Examiner - all at the same time! lities. Worked there for 3 years, and then puttered around private agencies for about 10 years. Left the field of MR/DD in 1996 for the big city, and a computer software training company, where I became a training manager. From there in 1999, I obtained my current position at the Ambac Financial Group in the Technology Department, Interactive Services Group. Still do a little training, learning lots about internet, intranet, and portals. In 2006 my group was transferred to the Global Marketing Department, where I currently work on special projects, intranet and PC Training.
