Linda's Story
Life
I grew up in and went to grammar school in Marlboro. After high school, I went to Middlesex County College for one semester, left there and went
to the Cittone School for court stenography. To support my schooling, I worked at Federici's,
where I met my husband, Chris
Conway. We live in Freehold
Township, have four children and have
been married for 48years. I stayed at
home with my children and after they
were all grown up and our oldest was
just graduated from college, it was
time for me to go to college. I
graduated from Brookdale
Community College on May 20, 2007
with an associates in English and
stayed on to get an associates in
Women's Studies, leaving Brookdale
with 103 credits. I graduated on May
11, 2012 from The College of New
Jersey, where I had to take 64 credits, ...Expand for more
with a Women and Gender Studies
degree. What an amazing
experience. I appreciated college so
much more this time. My wonderful
husband put myself and our four
children through college. Now, I am
getting to spend more time with my
family, as well as crocheting, reading
and gardening. I joined the American
Association of University Women,
which is a great organization. I
volunteer at the soup kitchen in
Freehold. I volunteer at Allaire State Park as an interpreter and also make clothes for the volunteers. My husband and I are enjoying spending time with our 5 precious little granddaughters and are totally in love with them. I am "Noni” to our first little sweetheart and our other sweeties calls me NeNe. Life is so wonderful. To anyone who reads this, I hope you have a wonderful day.
