Christopher's Story
Life
After leaving school I moved to Florida with my parents and worked various jobs for 2yrs. I joined the Navy at age 20. I spent 10yrs in. In those ten years I traveled the world as a Radioman and then as an Aviation Ordnanceman. I married in 92 in Hawaii. My wife gave birth to 3 children, 1 boy, 2 girls. After leaving the Navy in 99 I moved to NY where my wife is from. I then became a truck driver. I was divorced in 02 and moved back to FL. I then got a job with Hughes Supply as a driver and worked my way up to Warehouse Manager.
I transfered from FL to TX through the company. I worked there almost 5yrs when the company sold to Home Depot, which broke us up and sold us. Now I work for Continental Airlines.
School
I must start by saying that our parents were right when they said that our high school years will be the best part of our lives and that someday we will wish that we were back there. I for one do wish for those care free days. Who knows, I may even do my homework if I could go back again.
Anyway, I do find myself thinking of old classmates and friends from time to time. Playing football, singing in the choir, and chatting with friends during lunch break. The best teacher I had was my science tea...Expand for more
cher Bear, and I didn't even like science. But he made it fun. Most of all, I miss Roanoke and the friends I knew there. Jerry Record, and Terry Redman were my best friends there and I regret that when I left there I never stayed in contact with them. So if y'all read this Jerry and Terry don't hesitate to contact me.
I realized sitting here writing this bio, I have been all over the world, I've been to all 50 states, and there is no place I would rather be than in Texas. I did drive through Roanoke last year and boy has it changed.
Anyway if any of you remember me, then please contact me and lets catch up.
Military
I Joined the Navy in 1990 and wen't to Boot Camp at NTC San Diego with company 072. After Boot Camp I attended Radioman "A" school. After "A" school I was assigned to USS Cushing DD-985. In 93 I changed rates to Aviation Ordnanceman. I wen't to "A" school in Millington TN. Then F/A-18 FRAMP school in Lemoore CA. After FRAMP school I was stationed with Weapons Test Squadron China Lake CA. NAS China Lake had to be, in my oppinion, the best duty station ever. I loved the desert and riding my dirt bikes almost every weekend. My last Duty station was VFA-147 at NAS Lemoore, Attached to the USS Nimitz.
