Christopher's Story
Graduated from Stonewall High School in 1978. Two weeks after graduation I moved to Denver, CO. and enrolled at Front Range Jr. College where I earned an AA in General Education. I then enrolled at The University of Northern Colorado majoring in Business. After a year at UNC I ran out of money and patience and just worked and kinda "Ski bummed" around for another year. Finally decided to grow up and get serious about school and moved to Oklahoma City, OK and enrolled at Southern Nazarene University where I completed my B.S. in Business Management. After graduating college I began work for AT&T in June of 1985 and continued my education earning my M.S. in Management in 1988. In January of 1996 I began work for Lucent Technologies as a Labor Relations Supervisor and then was promoted to Labor Relations Manager in 1998. ployed by Celestica Corp. until June of 2003 when the factory was closed. I then began work for Weyerhaeuser Company in July of 2003 as the Human Resources/Labor Relations manager for 2 lumber mills and a short line railroad. As of February of 2008 I was exasperated and stressed to the limit and had the opportunity to go to work for a smaller company so I took the job as the Fleet Manager for a forestry service company. I live in Valliant, OK which is in the far southeast corner of the state. Valliant is 90 miles northwest of Texarkana.
I have been married for 21 years as of this month to Laura. We have 2 children, Kimberly and Kirby. Kimberly is a 19 year old Junior at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK majoring in Pharmacy. Kirby is a 16 year old highschool sophomore and is active in golf, band and church activities. Kirby plays the trumpet, guitar and bass guitar.
