Christopher's Story

After high school I hung out for a year before heading to Marine Boot camp. After my schools I was sent to Okinawa. I got out of the Marine Corps in 1996 having done most of my 4 years in Okinawa which is were I live today. I have been working on base as a guide for a company called MCCS we do local tours as well as international tours. Most of the tours I do are Battle of Okinawa tours although I also go to Tokyo a couple times a year. I sometimes go over to Iwo Jima with Marine units and give classes on the battle there. In 2003 I took over operations in the Battle of Okinawa Historical Display/museum which is located on Camp Kinser. The Museum is run on a volunter basis. ons on the Documentary "Price for Peace", PBS on the Documentary "Road to Victory", the History Channel on an episode of Cities of the underworld (will air on Nov. 2nd at 9pm) and with the travel Channel. all related to the Battle of Okinawa In 2003 I got married to Sayaka Ishisoko who I had been dating for around 6 years. In March 2005 our first daughter was born, her name is Ayumi and in Jan. 2007 we had a second girl her name is Anika. As of now we live in the City of Naha which is in the south of the island and are planning on having one more kid (need a boy) after that boy or girl I am done.
