Christy's Story
I'm an army brat...11 different schools (counting Kindergarten ) in 12/13 yrs. My earliest memories are of Mass. when Dad was stationed at Ft Devens.
From there we went to Frankfurt, Germany for 2 yrs and then to Bad Aibling, Germany.
Then, back to Ft Devens for 2 yrs before Dad went to Viet Nam and we went to Sioux City IA( where my parents were from, originally). to stay with extended family. I attend Hawthorne Elem and Leeds High School at that time
When Dad got back from NAM, we moved to Homestead AFB and I attended Mays Jr HIgh School in Goulds. FL Any one remember Mr Phelan?
He was our asst principal in 1970. A GREAT guy!!
I left South FL and went to Itazuke, Japan in Fukuoka. I think, in 71. I attended Hakata High School in the 10th grade and moved to Okinawa shortly after, where I attended Kubasaki High School
for approx 2 yrs.

le, then Futenma Housing in the 70's. The Pussycat restaurant in Futenma, concerts at Moon Beach....or was it Manza Beach?....hanging out at the sea wall during the typhoons and the A&W on the way to Machinato.are things I remember from that time. I'd love to go back to "the rock" for a visit. I worked for A time At a drug and alcohol rehab ctr at Camp Kue...called the Impact Center.during that time
I moved to Jonesboro, Ga...home of "Gone With the Wind" in the middle of my Sr yr of high school. I worked at Embassy Row bowling alley and Bonanza during that time.
I'm currently married with one adult son and 2 dogs and am employed as a respiratory therapist/ sleep tech in the metro ATL
I'd love to hear from anyone who was around any of those areas at any time that I might have ..I'd like to see if we have some mutual friends.
