Some of you may remember I was really into gymnastics! Out of high school I got a job at Johnson Motors in Waukegan. Drafted shortly after that. Basic/AIT training in Missouri. Short stint in Germany then on to Vietnam where I handled explosives and did demolition work. (basically blow stuff up). After my service I worked as a machinist, auto mechanic and Quality Assurance Inspector. Retired from the Boeing Company. Obtained my Pilots License in 1996 and purchased my own plane. Since I've been retired I've volunteered to do a bunch of different things. Volunteer with Pima County Sheriffs Dept, Volunteer with Sahuarita Police Dept, Currently a volunteer as a Parks & Recreation Commissioner for the Town of Sahuarita, AZ. I play 12" softball, play, teach and provide Free learning clinics for the Sport of Pickleball. Referee trainer for Pickleball. Lastly, for those of you who didn't know I was in a foster home for my High School years. That happened when our Mom passed away while I was a freshman at Round Lake HS. Placed in foster care shortly after that and went to Grayslake High for my Sophomore, Junior and part of my senior year. Foster family was moving out of state and I was placed back in our family home mid way through my senior year. And that is the reason for having to switch schools a couple times! Also, back in 2000 I had prostate cancer. We caught it in time and I had the surgery. Cancer free since. Update - 10/21/2019 - Still active in Senior Softball and Pickleball.
