Chuck's Story
Life
I have been married for 34 years and I am still in love with my wife. We have three children. Our oldest son is 30 years old, married with two boys. One is just four, Caden and the other is 1 and a half Jack. Of course they are the greatest grand-child ever. Our son is a teacher, and water-polo coach. In '05 his 18 and young team won the National championship in Florida. Our daughter is in her third year of Seminary at Wartburg Seminary in Iowa. She has traveled in Ecuador and served on as a Christian missionary in the jungles. She lived with a wonderful native family for three months. She is an avid reader and is a phenomenal singer. She has performed in the South, through out the west coast and has recorded three albums, before she decided to go to Seminary. Our Youngest son is also in Seminary at Wartburg, and is beginning his internship in Wisconsin. All my kids sing, surf and love sports. I graduated from L. B. State with a degree in Religious Studies, in 1971 I recieved a Masters in Music form Fullerton and while working for the Lutheran Church taught in Colleges in So. Cal. In 1973 I was licenced as an lay pastor in the Lutheran church and in ...Expand for more
1988 after finishing four years of Seminary at the GTU at U.C. Berkely, I served in a Luth. Ch. in Longview WA. In 1992 I suffered an horrific injury while working for that ch. I broke my back, my pelvis was separated nine in. the only thing holding my legs on was the skin, ect. My wife was told that I would die, then they said I would never walk again. I am alive and I walk, by the Grace of God, but I am not the same as I was. I have recorded three albums (CD's) and many albums as a member or background singer/player for many groups. I have been in a documentry called "Introducing Jesus of Nazarth" found by looking of the ELCA web sight.
On Oct. 28 07, after fourteen years I resigned as Pastor of G.D. church and my wife and I relocated in Oceanside Ca.and now live in Long Beach where every Sunday morning you can find me on the North side of Seal Beach pier. I lead a worship service at 7:15 a.m. called the 'Surfers specail' and 8 a.m. 'Hope at the beach'. Our youngest son PJ is married and is a pastor of two churches in Wis. Now I've updated this thing hoped you enjoyed in if you want to see more go to Hope at the beach . com (all one word) blessings....
