WOW! Just noticed that the last time I updated this bio was SIX years ago! Time keeps flying!
After living in Atlanta, New York City, London, and Bahrain, we are living in Dubai,UAE. I've been married for over 25 years now, after finding my soul mate by chance during Seattle's 1979 record holiday snowstorm. We have three kids, Aliah -girl, Ali -boy and Farah -girl.
I have a couple of businesses that keep me 'entertained'...it seems that being an entrepreneur and growing business is how I deal with empty nest feelings! My businesses tend to be more community service orientated, one is a wellbeing based business and the other is an IT business.
I have an interesting and busy life filled with many people I care about. I am absolutely solid in my conviction in the statement... lace I find myself in at this moment. And a great place it is indeed! I live in a highly energized PROGRESSIVE city that is diverse and multi cultural. This appeals to my sense of adventure and minimizes any boredom. I am invigorated by meeting new people and living new experiences. I always felt that a station wagon and suburban life would never be for me....Boy was I right! Give me my Harley any day!
I was diagnosed with cancer nearly 5 years ago, and was very lucky to have caught it early. GET SCREENED AS OFTEN AS YOU SHOULD...EARLY DETECTION IS A VITAL ELEMENT TO LONG TERM SURVIVAL OF CANCER....ANY TYPE OF CANCER!
Military
I served the US Government, the US Navy specifically as the Assistant Housing Director from 1992- 1996 in Manama, Bahrain. Prior to that I was Naval Regional Contracting Command Secretary and Accountant to a detachment out of Italy. I am a twice decorated Desert Shield/ Desert Storm civilian for my work during this period.
