Cindi's Story
After graduating from QHHS I attended Antelope Valley College for 1 year, then transferred to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Had a lot of company from the Antelope Valley while there (including my twin sister, Cathi) and made some great memories. Graduated from Cal Poly with a major in Biology/Natural Resources Management. Met my future husband, Doug Dunham, in Soil Science 101. Went on to graduate school at Univ. of Calif. San Francisco, where I obtained my Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Married Doug the summer after graduation, and we started our careers in San Diego. I worked for Kaiser Permanente for 14 years. Loved our time there, but the area just grew like crazy, and when Doug got an offer to work on the Central Coast we jump...Expand for more
ed at it. We moved to Nipomo in San Luis Obispo county in 2000. We love being back in a more rural setting, where we still have a lot of friends from our Cal Poly/QHHS days. Doug is a partner and geotechnical engineer at Earth Systems Pacific. I have worked in various retail pharmacies; currently I'm with Costco in San Luis Obispo. We enjoy living in paradise! Doug loves to golf; I like gardening, and landscape photography. We like to vacation in the wide open spaces, primarily the western states. My twin lives nearby; she has her own veterinary clinic in Grover Beach. We are still startling our respective clients with the "twin thing." Life is good. We hope to reconnect with many of our classmates at the reunion. Cheers!
