Cindy's Story
I graduated in 1980, then went to TJC on a Basketball scholarship and worked for Tyler Police Dept.as a cadet, graduated TJC in 1983. Moved to Athens, started work for TP&L in 1985 then, got married in 1986, and continued working for TUElectric for 8 years, until they decided to shut down the accounting office. Worked at other places, Sprint, Athens Review, Dept of Health and Human Services. Then ,was a stay at home Mom after 1st child was born and then 2nd for 7 years, separated in 2002 and got a divorce in 2003. I worked for Trinity Valley Community College for 7 years. . My children are Shelby 15 yrs old and Cody 13 yrs old. I enjoy playing basketball with the kids and coached them in Little Dribblers for 4 or 5 years. I enjoy country dancing, bicycling, walking, riding horses, 4 wheelers, having conversation with others, singing, playing ping pong, pool, dominoes, cards, marble games, listening to music, country, Christian and some pop and blue grass, do not care for rap, but get to listen to it in the car with the kids some.... I guess, when we were kids it was the disco music our parents didn't care for... I have lived in Athens since 1983. I guess that sums up what's been going on in my life since graduation.
