High School, the good old days...now I have 2 kids in high school, god I hope they don't do all the things I used to do!
For those that remember me....please get in touch. I am definately guilty of not keeping up with old friends, but would like to change that. a brief history of me: after Grade 12, worked for 8 years (very conscienciously) at Shell Canada, various offices throughout Toronto. Left at age 25, went travelling with a backpack and a girlfriend to Europe for a while. Came back and entered the interconnect (telecommunications) field. landed in sales, and also my husband of 19 years. Unfortunately he and I are in the process now of splitting. We have a daughter, now 17, and later moved to London, Ont. and had a son, now 15. Great kids. We lived in London for 3 years, and then moved out here to ...Expand for more
Calgary in 1994, so this is home now. I did the mom at home thing for 12 years, and then re-entered the work force as a sales territory manager for Dupont Canada. At that same time, I was diagnosed with Young-Onset Parkinson's Disease, out of the blue. Think MJ Fox, same thing. That was 7 years ago. Acceptance has come now, I take meds that for the most part help me through my day. I am very active in the community raising awareness and funds for PD and am the Board of Directors for our Calgary PD Society. I try not to feel sorry for myself, instead I do what I can to fight this. As mentioned earlier, my marriage is ending, I and the kids haved moved into a smaller house 2 weeks ago, and I am beginning a whole new chapter in my life.
