Cindy's Story
Life
University of Hawaii 1977-82 AS Degree Food Service, AS Degree Travel Industry Mgmt, and a Baccalaureate in Hawaiian Studies. I was married for 21 years until 1999 when I lost my husband to liver cancer. I raise American Pit Bull Terriers and work in the travel industry. I am a retired Executive Chef (1992). I have been in Hawaii for over 30 years. I remarried in June 2002 in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
I retired completely in January 2005. We raise Dogue De Bordeaux dogs now after retiring our American Pit Bull Terriers. I love my dogs and they constantly amaze me with their intelligence. My constant companion is Wings of Aloha, a 5 and 1/2 year o...Expand for more
ld who doesn't leave my side. He is also the main guard dog, he takes his job very seriously. My AmStaff Bull Terrier, Duke E'lua likes to unzip cushions and shred the interior leaving the zipper and cover intact!
I am happy with my life, enjoy being retired, and could not find a better place than Hawaii in spend it in!
It's 2010! Time flies! We are soon opening HoneyGirl's Dog House, a no kill rescue shelter for dogs. We have a new member to our gang, Sam, a min/pin mix that we found on the road in Sept. He had been dumped to starve and die. Sam is healthy and a happy boy. His older siblings ignore him completely cuz he is so much smaller!
