Cindy's Story
Life
My Spouse
My husband and I first meet in 1978, he and my ex-husband were co-workers. However our relationship did not start until 1984. After my marriage had ended.
My Pets
I have a really cool cat named rascal, he is eleven years old and has defiantly lived up to his name.
He is very territorial and feels it is his duty to protect his turf. A couple of years ago, he was on our front porch, and a black bear was standing below the railing. Rascal was within four feet of the bear. Of course Rascal wasn't to happy the bear was on his turf so he was growling and hissing within four feet of a full grown black bear.
We also have a dog we call boots, he lets us know when bears or the neighbors across the street come and go. He loves the snow, swimming in the ocean, and the creek behind our house.
And than there's our daughter's cat Scarlett and she is something else. We inherited Scarlett when our daughter left home. You've heard the saying scardy-cat? that's Scarlett.
My Kids
I have two wonderful daughters. Melissa age 27 yrs. She lives here in Juneau, with our beautiful, granddaughters Tiany 7 & Amethyst 2. Amethyst is a grandmom's girl she has golden colored hair with big beautiful blue eyes, we call her little miss independent. Tiany is dark haired and has dark brown eyes she is our drama queen.

My Job
I work for the State of Alaska, Department of Health and Social Service, Office of Children's Services, As a Social Service Associate III. I'm the PFD coordinator, for children in State custody.
My position is one of kind there is no other PFD Coordinator in the whole United State. Because Alaska is the only state that has a Permanent Fund Dividend,(PFD)this is money from oil revenue, put in a trust account for all residents of Alaska. When a child is released from state custody. I'm the person they contact to release any PFD monies, held in trust for them.
Well here it is 14 year later, I've sense retired after 22 years of working for the State of Alaska in 2016, Its been four years since I retired where did the time go? It seems to just fly by. My youngest just turned forty last month, my oldest will turn forty-two in Sept. My youngest grandchild is 16 soon to be 17, my oldest grandchild is expecting my first great-grandchild, my two grandsons are 20 and 17 now. Our beloved Cat Rascal has since past away and so has our beloved Dog Boots.
We moved from Juneau Alaska to Palmer Alaska in 2006 we love it up here.
