Cindy's Story

Life is Good. Married to Jeff Glover (we met in Chuck Schaffers 1st period class our senior year) for 30 years.(been together 34 years) We have 2 sons, 26 and 22, and have one Beautiful Granddaughter. Nevaeh-Rose. age 2. I have been working for State Farm for 21 years now. Love my job! I am the Office Manager and a licensed staff agent. Before that for Bank of America for 10 years. Jeff and I are still close friends with Steve Saybrook and Roberta Lokey-Blake. Both whom were in our wedding. Still in touch with Rich Hughes (class of 77). Don't know where anybody else is. Jeff and I pretty much left Long Beach behind and moved to Northern California to God's country. He moved here right out of H/S in 76 to go to college and I followed in 79 after finishing college at Mt. Sac. Married here in 1980 and only go south to see my family when we have to. Mostly everyone comes here to get away from there. LOL. Just living life and enjoying our Granddaughter who is the light of our lives. Both sons live here in town and are a true blessing to us. God has blessed us at every turn and we are both thankful for his grace. I always wanted to be a Mom whe...Expand for more
n I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. One of my ways to relax is to sit in my garden on my bench under my dogwood tree and watch the fish in the pond. Most times I'm pulling weeds. Or sitting on my porch swing with a glass of sweet tea and reading a book. Or lately playing with my beautiful Granddaughter. My hero is my husband Jeff. He has been my best friend and my rock thru all we have been thru in our 34 years together. My other hero in my life was my Daddy. He gave me the unconditional love, support and confidence to be what ever I wanted to be. Which really was to be an awesome parent as he and my Mother were. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my kitchen again and add on a sun porch. My dream home would be just where I am. If I won $100 million, I'd give half of it to charity, then spend the rest on bills, college fund for our grand kids and helping others in need. My best friend would tell you I'm fun and active, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quiet. In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by retiring. LOL.
