Cindy's Story
Life
I joined the Air Force right after graduation and have been in for 17 years now. I've been married to my best friend, Michael, for 17 years. We have a 6 year old son, Joshua, who starts first grade this year. I've been stationed in Florida (Eglin AFB), Germany (Ramstein AB) and North Carolina (Seymour Johnson AFB). I visited the desert a couple times, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia (1996 during the Khobar Towers bombing) and Prince Sultan...Expand for more
Air Base, Saudi Arabia (2000). I'm trained as a Public Health technician. I worked as a Family Readiness NCO (I took care of the families left behind due to the active duty member being away on a deployment). And now...I'm the Flight Chief for Medical Readiness and the Unit Deployment Manager for the Medical Group at Seymour Johnson AFB, NC. My job is very fast paced. I was recently prompted to MSgt and in two years, I'll retire!!!
