One of Cindy's favorite quotes is:"I think I could turn and live with animals,
they're so placid and self-contained,
I stand and look at them and long.
They do not sweat and whine about their condition.
They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins.
They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God,
Not one is dissatisfied, not one is demented with
the mania of owning things,
Not one kneels to another, nor to his kind that lived
thousands of years ago,
Not one is disrespectable or unhappy over the earth.
~ Walt Whitman~
Two Wolves
An old Cherokee chief is teaching his grandson about life:
"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
"One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.
"The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope,

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old chief simply replied, "The one you feed."".

Oh, to catch the wings of flight
and soar where eagles go,
To leave the woes of troubled souls
behind me far below.
I’d listen to the song of birds
and sail in endless flight,
Then chase the sun through cloudy paths
and play with stars at night".
