Cindy's Story

Life I am not sure where to start. I left Indiana in the sixth grade and moved to Ohio. I attended Copley for half of 6th grade and all of 7th. We moved to Canal Fulton where I graduated from Northwest High School and then attended Notre Dame College where I attained a double major in English and Biology (I know a crazy mix). I received my Masters in Writing from Northeastern University in Boston in 1996. I am currently an English teacher at Perry High School in Massillon, Ohio. I have tw...Expand for more
o sons, Jason 31 and B.J. 21 and two grandchildren. My husband Rex is a retired teacher who works at a local golf course. My dad and step-mother Lynda live in Canal Fulton. My mother died when I was a junior in high school after she went into shock after a gall bladder operation. I am an English teacher and recently received my National Board cerification and was selected as the VFW National Teacher of the Year. I am trying to raise $100,000 for a veterans memorial in front of our shcool.

Thanks to Don Lint, Perry Class of 1989, and owner and Captain of D3 Charters on Lake Erie who held a raffle to benefit Perry Veterans’ Memorial. Although this was not the best time to hold a raffle, Don raised over $800.00
