Claire's Story
Never liked high school, but life has been wonderful since! Jeff (a 1977 Roosevelt grad) and I have been married 33 years and our four children (21-30) are all college grads and happy. The oldest two are married. No grandchildren. I work as an academic advisor at the U of M- working with art & social science students in CLA. I have an Etsy business (Claire's Doodlebugart.com) and do all the typical domestic stuff- gardening, crafting, cooking. I did 16 heavy years of volunteer/community work when the children were young and now I am more selfish- taking care of myself for a change. school all those years ago- art, education, and things that make the world a better place for children and young people. I read, work, travel a little and watch way too much TV. I hate to exercise, still can't sing or dance, and still love Minnehaha Falls and Lake Nokomis. Recently visited the new Skylanes (now Town Hall Lanes) and highly recommend it. I keep very peripherally "in the know" about Roosevelt- a student will have a parent who works there, my sister-in-law will attend the pancake breakfast, I'll get the newsletter, etc. But to be honest, high school was not a happy time for me overall and I don't usually dwell on it.
