Claire's Story
Life
We have 4 grown children, Tamara 34, Jennifer 28, Wade, 27 and Grant 27. Yes, a super set of twins followed 15 months after Jennifer arrived. Life was a blurr for awhile. I was fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom to them all, only returning to work when they started college. Three in college for 3 years was another story; Penn State, Rose Hulman Institute and Anderson University. All are married, Tamara married a man from Switzerland and lived there for a year, returning to Tampa, Fl with my 2 grandsons; Ethan 6, Larson 4. Jennifer (PSU)married another PSU grad and moved to NY where he then graduated from chiropractic school and is now in practice in Rochester, NY. Wade lives in Akron with wife Jen both AU grads, with wife finishing her Masters. Grant lives in Bloomington IN with wife Shelly working on her Phd.
I worked for 8 years as a Medical Transcription Coordinator for a very large orthopaedic group. Tired of the stress and changed companies to be an Admin. Assit for a spinal surgeon and will stay there until I ...Expand for more
retire.
Husband, George, x-EBDiv, went from building subs, to tow boats and barges in New Orleans to St Louis where he managed St Louis Ship. Left there to start his own business and was bought out and moved to Cincinnati, OH where we remain. He travels to Europe and Asia in his job but is looking to retire before long and go into consulting. We purchased a lake home in KY about 2.5 hours south of Cincinnati and go there many weekends. It is lovely, quiet and relaxing. A real treat after a busy week.
Traveled all over the country and world, returned from Italy in late October and may make a trip to China with husband in April of 08. Life has been full of many blessings, family being on top of the list. Good memories of wonderful people I have meet all over the country and friendships I have made.
I do miss the ocean and hope one day to be closer to it. Lakes are nice, but the waves breaking and salt air are another thing altogether. Noank was a wonderful place to grow up. I have missed the last 2 reunions due to the scheduling.
