Clare's Story
I've been living in Wake Forest, North Carolina for 9 yrs. after a 10 year stint in Silver Spring, MD. Prior to that, we lived in Dover, Delaware for 10 years after leaving Tucson in 1987. I was married in 1970 to a wonderful man and we were blessed with a happy life together for 44 years, he passed in 2014. He was Architect Baxter J. Hill. We had no children, but two adoring cats own me.
After graduating CDO, I established myself as a professional seamstress working for Disney and other Hollywood studios, and was costuming for professional reenactors from across the country and a few from distant shores for many years. Then on to being a stained glass artisan and instructor for 23 yrs working within my private studio on exhibition and custom pieces and teaching with Delaware Tech. college, Univ. of DE, DE State Univ. and the Dover Air Force Base Rec, Dept.

2006, but a woman's work is never done.... I have always loved to cook and derive much pleasure from having good friends gather for a great meal, wonderful wine and considered conversation. Good food, good wine, good friends, what more could one want?
I will be marketing my house soon and will rent until my new house is built in Rocky Mount, NC. The 1 acre property sets along side a wide gentle stream and gracious trees dot the landscape. Hopefully, it will be a place of quiet reflection and my proclivity for modern/contemporary and Japanese architecture will showcase the artwork I love and have collected over these many years.
My passions have always been (and continue to be) sewing and fiber arts, glass art and cooking. My enjoyments (among many) include camping, birding, history, architecture, the symphony/opera, traveling and adventure and retail therapy at thrift stores.
