Clarita's Story

On Christmas Eve my 2 sons and I spent most of the day in the San Antonio Air Port with no power at all. Every thing had to be done manually. Our plane arrived in Albuq.,only 4 hours late. Christmas day,, my son Joe burned his hand on a Co2 cartridge for a paint-ball gun. We left for San Antonio 2 days after Christmas and missed our plane because they had to scan-analyze my son's burned hand for explosive devices. A sky Marshall sat next to us on the plane to Las Vegas even though we we headed to San Antonio. 5 hours later we arrived in San Antonio. We left the next day to go to the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth Texas. Froze our tails off but the AF Academy beat Houston. Went to a Rodeo in Fort Worth. Had a ball, but didn't make it to the World's Largest Honky Tonk. Have a Happy and virus-free New Year everyone! +++ Clarita Glomski Jan 10 2010 | Personal Where were you on New Year's Eve 2009 Were you looking for love in all the wrong places? I have to say I was looking for my love on New Years Eve because this is the 2nd New Years Eve I've been without him. He's either in Heaven or straddling between Heaven and Earth, waiting for me, until I'm done with my life here on earth as I know it. I lost my hunny bunny on September 18, 2008, a day...Expand for more
that, for me, will forever go down in infamy. I will not call myself widow. I always fill in the married square on apps. When I was in high school my husband was an Electronic Warfare Officer and Navigator on B-52's in Viet Nam. I remember just before the TV stations would sign off for the night, I would pray for all our soldiers in Viet Nam to come home safely or to go home to God, safely. Little did I know I was praying for the man who would forever be the love of my life. We were 11 years apart in age, but we were soul mates from the very moment I met him. I worked for him and 2 other German scientists brought over from Operation Paper Clip, as his, and their Secretary at the Directorate of Aerospace Studies at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque when I was 23 years old. He had just come out of the cock pit and Kirtland was assigned to him after a tour at SAC (Strategic Air Command) Headquarters in Omaha NE. I became this Officer and Gentleman's wife and almost lived happily ever after. I offer up my suffering of living without him to the other Gentleman I know, named Jesus. I do have 2 sons, a daughter-in-law, 2 step kids and the most awesome grand-baby-girl-princess ever to carry the Glomski name. Well, that's all I have to say about that. God-speed.+++
