William's Story
I am certain no one remembers me because I did not graduate from New Dorp, but this could help.
I lost my mom and dad when I was 9 and was raised by a family who took me in for the Social Security money, not that they were interested in me at all. I made it to high school, somehow, in Fall 1968 from JHS #2 (that's what is was called then). I was in the first graduating class from there.

at because I went to school in dirty and torn clothing, since that's all I was provided with. I signed myself out of school after missing most of my sophomore year because of the humiliation I endured.
I was drafted in 1972 and was sent to Germany, which is where I say I grew up. I received my GED in 1975. I spent 8 years there and moved to New Hampshire from 1980-1997 where I received my Associates Degree.
I have now lived in Utah for 18 years.
