Kelly's Story
Life
After Westwood Elementary and Piedmont Middle Schools chose Overfelt High School - a wonderful experience.
In 1996 I graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Computer Science.
I worked full time as a software design engineer for Hewlett-Packard (HP) and later it's spin-off Agilent Technologies.
In 1996 I married Marcus Runyan (Yes!)
In 1997 we bought our first home in Woodland Hills, CA.
In 2002 I graduated with an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
In 2000 I left HP/Agilent and joine...Expand for more
d the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) as a software engineer in Pasadena, CA.
This past year (2004) I have had an amazing time working at JPL - from the Mars Exploration Rovers (Spirit and Opportunity) successful landings on Mars, and operations, to Cassini's successful Saturn Orbit Insertion. A few other missions to boot: Spitzer Space Telescope and the very early phases of Phoenix.
Soon Cassini will release the European Space Agency's Hugyens Probe, and at that should be a lot of fun too!
