Hi All, Remember me from Booker T? Thats where it started for me. Growing up in a single-parent home; not knowing I would be a statistic or that we were not HAPPY -- later on. I had a wonderful time growing up on 37th Street. We had lots of family and friends. Yes the good ole' days. Skating on 36th Street, having back-yard parties, going to the Rec, the swimming pool, movies (now threater) and Church. It was safe then. Everyone looked out for each other's children. If you did something wrong -- your neighbor would maybe punish you or definitely tell your Mom (parents) before you even got home. I could not wait to start at the Annex -- 'where the boys are'. Remember? I remember we respected and feared our Elders. So we did our 'thang' quietly, hoping not to be seen or caught. I remember a few classmates I wanted to date or 'go with' during my High School days -- to no avail. Oh yes, one guy from another School, TM; I did like him a lot. We started going together. That was a good time. I don't know what happened -- we just grew apart. I don't know if it was him or I -- but we drifted without bringing closure to whatever it was we had.
