Claudia's Story

I attended both High Schools in Stamford in the blur that was the 60s!! I had a short inglorious 2 years at Thomas College. My life after graduation was a series of highs and lows speckled with marriages, births, deaths, professional successes and the promise of something more as I stepped contacted with my Native Heritage. I Will be 65 in a week and I see that promise being fulfilled. I stepped off the corporate ladder several years ago after climbing as high as I was willing to go. I moved from Fairfield County CT to a small town in Vermont. I work for a small non-profit but will be returning next week. e People and to grow stronger in our faith every day. I write Native American short stories for young adults and middle grade children as well as doing a variety of tradiitonal crafts. I am also a Traditional Storyteller and am on the Board of Trustees of the Mt Kearasarge Indian Musem. I have had one book of poetry published. We are moving towards a more sustainable life every day. We finished building my dream house in November 2015. It is an open floor plan Northern White Cedar open floor plan octagonal log cabin. We live on 10+ acres that has a small stream with three waterfalls rolling past our deck. My life is about learning and teaching. And I do both with equal passion. My Native heritage is at the center my life and a constant source of gratitude. Got questions? Ask away....
