Claudine's Story

I went back to France after my one year at Cubberley, but could not shake California... I returned to visit with the Goulds several Summers, then married an attorney met on the Stanford campus. We were married 28 years, have two wonderful sons. I now live alone in Nevada City, writing history books like "Grass Valley", "Mill Valley" and "French San Francisco" published by Arcadia. an art book, preparing another. I am very proud to be able to write professionally in both French and English, a skill I first developped at Cubberley, with dear Mr. Tanner... Would love to know who pinched my diary in the fall of 1964.... What a wonderful school, filled with great people. I'd love some news of those who remember me from that one short year as an exchange student from France.
