Clayton's Story
After Cave Spring, I graduated from VA. Western and then Roanoke College. I worked briefly for the Roanoke Times and then left Roanoke.
I lived in Greensboro, N.C. for a couple of years working for Bank of America. Then I moved to Seattle, Washington.
I worked in Seattle for SAFECO Insurance for three years. After being laid off I decided to move to Asia.
For the next eight years, I taught English as a Second Language in Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. I really enjoyed living overseas but eventually came to miss living in the states. In 2008, I moved back to the US.
I am now starting my second year teaching American Literature at the Perkiomen School. Perk is a boarding school about an hour west of Philadelphia, PA.

At Perk, I teach 9th and 10th grade and coach JV Boy's Basketball and JV Girl's Softball. I really enjoy working with teenagers. I have taught pre-school, elementary, high school, and university in Japan.
I love to travel: 30 countries on five different continents. In March, I went to Tunisia and Sicily. This summer I spent three weeks in Europe driving through Italy, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia.
Now that I am back in the states I split my time bewteen school and Roanoke/Smith Mountain Lake and Charlotte, N.C..
Life's been a wild ride with a lot of up's and down's. I'm sorry I missed the reunion this summer and look forward to attending one in the future.
My Best to Everyone,
Clay
