Clayton's Story
Primarily I am a fine artist, and this has become my life's work. Yet I am also a write of fiction.
I don't paint every day, instead waiting for my muse to deliver the inspiration that will set my work apart.
My images are quite diverse, primarily surrealistic or abstract expressionist, but I have also created interpretations of animals and landscapes.
My venues are open shows, public spaces, nightclubs, fashionable boutiques, restaurants, and coffeehouses. From there I hope my art is acquired to match a particular mood or décor.
I attended The University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Seattle University from 1982-1990, eventually reciving a Bachelors Degree in Art. While in these schools I was the lead singer for a couple of bands (some of you may remember those bands), starred in and performed in some plays, worked numerous minimum-wage jobs, and traveled through Europe several times.
In the Denver area during the 1990's I belonged to several Artist's Co-operatives, such as C.O.R.E. New Arts Space and The Asylum Art Gallery, having two regul...Expand for more
ar yearly shows as a featured artist. I also wrote and read poetry extensively at that time, and oganized art/poetry events and openings.
I have written three sci-fi fantasy novels, one called "The First Harmony" and the other two concerning a chacter called "Bladeborn" "The First Harmony" is now available at Amazon. "Bladeborn" and "Bladeborn Returns" will be available soon.
My girlfriend and I share an eleventh floor condominium space in Bellevue, Washington. We have a wonderful view of Mount Rainier when it's not too cloudy out. My artist's studio is just off the main room with good natural light. It is well-appointed and spacious.
In my picture on my Classmates Profile I am shown with my 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8. It has a 6.1-litre, V-8 Hemi Engine, a 13-speaker 322-watt stereo with a 1900 song jukebox and GPS, an Mopar muffler system and a claen air intake which pushes the horsepower to over 450+ (5-Speed Automatic Transmission), and "just in case" it has a Passport radar detector. It is #3333 of a limited edition run of 6400 cars.
