* 1965 to 1972 Civil Air Patrol. U.S. Air Force Auxiliary. Formed Search and Rescue Unit in Douglas County. Co-Founded Oregon¿s Ranger Search and Rescue Program.
* 1967 & 1968 National Honor Society. 1971 to 1973 Theta Delta Phi, National Scholastic Honorary Fraternity.
* 1968-1972 Leader in Oregon¿s 18 year old vote campaign.

* 1993 Graduate, National Judicial College, Reno, Nevada; Advanced Administrative Law Course.
* 1993 Oregon Department of Transportation Traffic Safety Award.
* 1994 Member Washington County Steering Committee Kitzhaber (D) for Governor.
* 1990 to 2001 Certified Board of Police Safety, Standards, and Training (BPSST) Instructor. Training hundreds of police officers in the requirements of Oregon¿s Implied Consent (DUII) Law.
